From the firms that have instructed us, we have found that COLPs spend an average of 10 hours a month carrying out this role. As this time is not billable, your senior lawyers are being used for work that could be outsourced at a competitive rate.

Compliance Legal can be utilised as a valuable outsourcing resource that will report directly into your COLP. Our consultants will work alongside your risk management teams to ensure that the role is carried out efficiently to meet regulatory requirements. Your COLP will retain overall responsibility for the role, but we will undertake majority of the duties and ensure compliance with the SRA Standards and Regulations.
